What's going on at Nell Bank?

  • The Nell Bank Teddy Bears' Picnic will take place on Saturday 2nd September 2017.  Come along between 10am and 2pm - bring your favourite bear, don't forget your picnic and enjoy a family fun day out exploring our site.  Click here for details...
  • Working in conjuction with Ilkley Arts Trail, we invite you to join us for a Leaf Trail on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th October 2017.  A range of "leaf themed" artwork (provided by artists contributing to the Arts Trail) will be located around the Nell Bank site for people to search for and enjoy.  Alongside the leaf trail will be the usual fun for children on the Adventure Playground, Water Play and other activities around the grounds.
  • For children with disabiltiies and their families, we are running several Family Fun Days at Nell Bank.  These will take place on 2nd, 9th (fully booked) & 23rd August and 25th October 2017 from 11am to 3pm.  Booking is essential as places are limited so if you are interested please call the Nell Bank office and leave your details.
  • Our new residential dorms are now fully operational and proving very popular for both KS1 and KS2 residentials.
  • Our fabulous new Round House is now complete and integrated into our Early People's Settlement programme which can be adapted for different historical periods such as the Stoneage, Saxons and Vikings.
  • Some of our KS1 visitors have been enjoying our "Owl Babies" programme based on the delightful story by Martin Waddell and set in our wonderful grounds and woodland.
  • Our "Maths & Myths" programme for KS2 pupils includes literacy and numeracy activities which are introduced through this engaging theme.
  • Girl Guiding and Scouting groups often use Nell Bank for day, evening and residential visits.. 
  • Our Tree House Adventure is in daily use by groups either as part of our team building programme or for adventurous play.
  • Many nursery, pre-school and reception groups have been enjoying our Gruffalo programme...why not give it a try?
  • Our inclusive residential lodge (Aiming High) has had some great additions for groups and families with children who have additional needs.  Development of this facility is on-going and feedback from visitors has been really positive.
  • Groups of visitors with additional needs have been enjoying supervised use of our various karts, trikes and scooters.  These can now be used on our new access track which allows exploration of the site.
