Nell Bank's close proximity to Bradford and Leeds make it an ideal location for day or short residential visits. Nell Bank is one of the best located outdoor centres in Britain providing an amazing venue for outdoor and environmental education.
The site looks south over the River Wharfe to the world famous Ilkley Moor.
It is surrounded by farmland and 110 acres of oak and bluebell woodland.
Environmentally Friendly Buildings
The village is built from sustainable sources and recycled timber buildings and enhanced by an amazing National Lottery funded amphitheatre. Recycling and energy saving techniques are visible throughout the site.
The Nell Bank Trust and Bradford CouncilThe centre has benefited from 3 Bradford Lord Mayors appeals.
The 31 year partnership between The Nell Bank Trust and Bradford Council enables charity funds to be used exclusively for site improvement. The Centre has grown in direct response to the community demand for top quality inclusive outdoor education.
The FutureIn 2009 we will build state of the art residential accomodation which will enables disabled youngsters to enjoy residential visits alongside everyone else.
